Whoa! The difference a coat of paint will make

We are so proud of this seller who was willing to act on the advice of our stager’s consultation. The sellers worked really hard to declutter but when we went back to revisit the home, we felt the home was still not ready. After our stager, Melissa Marro, presented a written staging consultation, the sellers had a check list to follow on necessary changes to make and they followed through with flying colors. Here are some before and after photos.  N Charleston master bedroom before painting

The master bedroom is beautifully decorated but a mauve coat of paint could be a turn off for male buyers. A simple change of paint really shows off this room.

The hood over the fireplace was a terra cotta color which went along with the seller’s southwest theme, but it’s hard to take one’s eyes off that hood until you see the after photo which makes this room feel larger.

The bedroom was painted terra cotta and this color may not be for every buyer. A simple coat of paint makes this room ready for any family member. We also removed a few other items in the room, but the change cost less than $50 to make, but the impact is worth much more.

The after pictures look so much bigger and brighter - great choice to lighten the paint colors!

Good changes which will appeal to more potential buyers.

With neutral colors in each room now you can really focus on the space in each room instead of all the areas that really stood out because of the color it was painted.  Great job on bringing the home back to a new and fresh look!!!

That's a great set of before and after photos, especially the fireplace hood!

Painting a room gives a great bang for the buck to home sellers!

Suzy-It's amazing that its the same furniture, but it does look different!

Tom-While paint is the least expensive, it's usually a last resort for most sellers and buyers feel the same about it.

Kate-It's amazing how the color choice can add to the lighting which in turn makes the room larger.

Sharon-Right on! Appealing to the most buyers-especailly those that don't want to spend time painting after they purchase.

Linda-I give kudos to the sellers for taking on the task.

Rich-Love before and afters. The difference side by side is pretty amazing.

Everything looks different with a fresh coat of paint. Not to mention when the potential buyers come through it will smell fresh. The buyers will know some effort was put into the home before putting it on the market.

The fireplace looks completely different! So nice that they took your suggestion with the paint colors, what a huge improvement.

Christine-It's amazing what paint will do. I wish every seller could see the impact and be willing to paint.

Lisa-It's amazing how that small space transforms the room!
