I haven't mentioned the news yet, but I'm ready to make an official announcement. I'm pregnant which
explains my on and off again presense depending on how I'm feeling. On our 20 week appointment, we found out we are having a girl! I'm actually 23 weeks today. Our tech let us take a sneak peek via 3D because the ultrasound pictures were so clear. She was kicking me the entire time it seemed like. She was so active that the 3D pictures are a little smeared on the far right side-- she is not missing the side of her head or anything. She was just moving so much, it was hard to take the picture before she moved again as the image changed. We are so excited and seeing her 3D made it so amazingly intimate. We were both brimming with tears watching her and thinking about the amazement of God's handiwork and what is going on inside my belly at only 20 weeks. She is healthy with all 10 fingers and 10 toes and beautiful!
We had a tough time with girl names. Among the top choices were Victoria Abigail, Gabrielle, Ava, Audrey, Kayla, and Hannah Grace. A week before the ultrasound, a friend suggested her middle name, Lana. I didn't think much of it but it dawned on me to mention it to my husband. He woke up the next morning, calling the baby Lana and it just stuck.
Her name will be Lana Michele. Pronouced La-na, its origin is Gaelic and means rock and in Hawaiian it means awakening. We can't wait to meet her in April 2010!

Congratulations Michele and family! And thanks for sharing the very first portraits of Lana with us.
Congratulations!!!!!! How exciting! Wishing you all the best!!!!!
Congratulations!!! My only child is a girl, and we named her Helene. Both my mom and my husband's mom were named Helen, so it just seemed perfect. We've had so many compliments on her name. Also, I decided not to give her a middle name. When she got married, her maiden name became her middle name. Now she's a lovely 25 year old with a darling 2 year old little boy. I loved being pregnant, my daughter loved being pregnant, and I'm sure you'll love being pregnant too. Best wishes. Keep us posted.
Congratulations. Children are our most valuable assets. I wish you the best with the pregnancy, delivery and the rest of your life that it takes you to raise them.
Hi Michele;
Congratulations on your good news, I wish you well. Happy holiday to you and family.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! And Lana is smiling... so GLAD to be in your womb! May the remainder of your pregnancy be joyous!
Susan-I just love her little hand sticking up. Technology is amazing!
Stephanie-This is our first too so the excitement is uncontainable.
Margo-Pregnancy has been very good to me. No morning sickness or nausea. It's been fantastic! I love it too!
Julie-I'm looking forward to the challenge. We are so thankful for this blessing.
Anthony-Thanks so much. Merry Christmas to you as well!
Diane-She is smiling! Lol. Kinda funny. It's amazing that she is only about 1 pound in this picture but she is already sucking her thumb and smiling.
Michele,
Incredible picture, way clearer that ours ever were. I'm sure you and your husband are very excited and maybe a little anxious too.
Congratulations!
Michelle, Congratulations to you and your husband! What a blessing!
