Prove your Gratitude to Our Veterans by Supporting our Active Service Members

Each Veterans Day, it's a wonderful opportunity to say thank you to our past and present Armed ForcesSupport our troops everyday! service men and women. I'm thankful for my father (22 years), husband (11 years), countless friends and clients who have served, as well as the 24+million veterans who have served in the past.  I'd like to challenge you to consider looking for ways to show your gratitude by looking for ways to support active duty families each and every day--the mom or dad and children left behind or the soldiers in faraway places away from their families.  You could take dinner to the family missing their wife or dad or provide a few hours of babysitting. There are many opportunities and programs to support our troops a far. Here are a few:

Please encourage your family or business to unite to show thanks and support to the 1.4+ million who are currently serving in uniform today as your way of showing gratitude for their service. The Charleston Relocation Experts Team invites our clients, friends and family to assist us in the Red Cross Holiday Mail project. We will be collecting holiday cards to send to troops. Please visit the website for dos and don'ts. You can drop your card off at our office before Dec 4th at 628 Long Point Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464 and we'll send them in one big package so they arrive by the deadline. It's a shame that military personnel have to wait until Veterans Day to get the praise they deserve.

Michele - terrific project to be a part of. Tell your dad and husband THANKS! (and you too - being a military wife is a big job)

James-You are right that we only do this 1-2 days a year. I hope more people will get involved in supporting veterans year round. Penny-Thanks but I didn't do much and got out easy as I met my husband when we was on shore duty and then he got out after 4 years to pursue school. Many other wives deal with much more with their husbands gone all the time.

Michele-these are great sites. Many thanks to your dad and husband as well as all of the other soldiers out there; past and present. One day a year is definitely not enough!
